Written by Louise on July 14th, 2010Join Seeds of Change for their 2010 Field Days on July 26 and September 7 at the Seeds of Change farm in San Juan Pueblo.
Learn how cover crops and using simple techniques and equipment can improve soil fertility and help control weeds from Eero Ruuttila, our farm manager. Eero will give a tour of the fields and answer questions in two “Cover Crops & Soil Fertility” sessions on Monday, July 26. The morning session is 9:30am to 12:00pm and the afternoon session is 4:30 to 7:00pm.
Come celebrate flavors and colors on a field tour of our variety trials of tomatoes, peppers, cantaloupes, squash, beans and other crops on Tuesday, September 7. The “Variety Trials & Tasting Panels” is designed for chefs and fresh produce retailers as well as for growers. Tour our fields from 9:0am to 3:00pm and participate in taste panels of our fresh produce from 11:00am to 3:00pm.
Space for both events is limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please call 505-438-6529 for details.
